ABOUT US

Established in 1998, Skymar Capital Corporation is a commercial real estate mortgage lender, commercial real estate mortgage loan servicer and a commercial real estate mortgage loan acquisition specialist on a nationwide basis.   

Steven Hayes Wood, a co-founder and principal, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Skymar Capital Corporation. Mr. Wood manages the origination of commercial real estate mortgages through a national network of mortgage bankers, brokers and portfolio managers with various investors and manages the acquisition of commercial real estate mortgages with various investors.

Mr. Wood is also the Chief Operating Officer for Thomas D. Wood and Company.  He manages the origination, underwriting and placement of commercial real estate mortgages with various institutional investors.

Prior to Skymar, Mr. Wood was a Vice President of John Alden Asset Management Company, a registered investment advisor.  While at John Alden, Mr. Wood served as a member of the real estate investment committee and was responsible for the acquisition and sale of commercial loan portfolios, commercial loan originations and the management of client mortgage portfolios. Before that, Steve was involved in the commercial mortgage banking business in Miami since 1980.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Auburn University, 1980 and a Master of Science Degree in Management from Florida International University, 1984. He is a licensed Florida Real Estate Salesman.

Ann Kelly Anthony, a co-founder and principal, is the Senior Vice President of Skymar Capital Corporation.  Ms. Anthony is responsible for the underwriting, due diligence and closing of all commercial real estate mortgage transactions whether on an origination or acquisition basis.  She is also responsible for servicer relations.

Prior to Skymar, Ms. Anthony was a Vice President of John Alden Asset Management Company and throughout her tenure there, she originated commercial loans primarily in the southeastern and western United States.  She also was integral in the acquisition of commercial mortgage portfolios throughout the county. 

Ms. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Auburn University.

Maria Aldarondo has been with the company since 2001 and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's servicing portfolio.  Prior to joining Skymar, Ms. Aldarondo was with Citbank.
